Updated for 2017-18. Thinking Skills are so important. Students and adults are often led to believe that there is only one right answer to the question. This doesn’t have to be the case though and it is really useful for students to be reminded of this, encouraging them to keep an open mind and explore possibilities. This way of thinking is referred to as divergent thinking and it goes hand in hand with creativity.
This resource provides questions that encourage students to problem solve and consider lots of answers to questions that don’t have just one right answer.
Each question is presented on an individual page so that they can be printed out and students can jot down ideas, scribble notes and even draw diagrams if they feel like it.
Check out this science word-search for Key Stage 1. STEM vocabulary for younger primary school students. Provided as a jpeg for easy printing and insertion into your own documents. The focus is "plants".

The statements can be copied and dropped into your own analysis documents ... and can of course be edited to fit the needs of your department. Provided as a Word document for complete editing freedom.

Many children and adults suffer from stress and anxiety at times. An over busy brain makes it difficult to concentrate on tasks and the feelings associated with anxiety can cause distress and further anxiety. Recent research suggests that activities which focus the mind without being overly taxing can help break the cycle of worry and anxiety and can help calm the busy mind.
One such activity is coloring. This resource provides 40 original hand drawn kaleidoscopic images. The repetitive nature of the patterns is intentional, encouraging the individual to settle into a calming routine. Drawings range in complexity, making it a suitable resource for all age groups, including adults. This resource is also suitable for use with Special Educational Needs students.
I hope that enjoyment and a sense of calm can be found by using this resource.
